i sit here alone
and my heart is so far from home
i sit here in the dark night
trying to survive my inner fight

in the pit of fear
you came and became my bright light dear
no more blood shed from my wrists
and no more pain since

you can only do this
to take me out of this nonsense
of hurting myself

though my heart is sore

since that time my heart has come back
